Interesting to see Thida Thai & Mae Sunee Thai weren't included on the list of restaurants he was charged with setting ablaze to.

Edit: Nevermind, read the original stories on the thai restaurants. Those were connected to extortion cases.

Thr extortion ring may be South Asian who have an MO of usually only targeting other immigrant community businesses. This guy was probably just a loon playing with fire.

Haha yeah, was just about to edit my post until I read the linked article about possible extortions of south asian restaurants and south asian owned convenience stores connected to a group out in Montreal.

Wild stuff.

Did we know there’s a Jimmy John’s going in on Broadway?

See post #8917 - Noticed it walking to Oh Doughnuts. Has anyone tried Oh Doughnuts' food that isn't doughnuts? The menu seems kitschy but the food I saw being served looks good.

The Broadway Subway moved to the corner of Donald. I want to say it was a former Cafe 22/PizzaHotline but might have that part wrong.

It used to be The Fyxx Cafe. I believe Cafe 22 is still there, but it's west of Oh Doughnuts on Hargrave

I heard on CJOB it's be McDonalds 'On the Go', which will be the first store outside of the US. It would be entirely drive-thru with lockers inside.

That’s correct, there are currently two in the US, one in Texas and another in Los Angeles, this is the first of this prototype in Canada.

The current proposal will be moved 3M to accommodate the widening.

Hopefully the drive thru backs up on to Kenaston.

Seriously though, I hate that superstore and refuse to go there because it's too busy. This won't help.

At the speed traffic moves on that stretch of Kenaston someone could pick up their McDicks at Grant and finish it by the time they hit Corydon.

I see the history revisionism here. This is creatively reinterpreting history. Technically it is correct — it is the first "On-The-Go" location but the Pembina and Grant McDonalds opened as a drive-thru only location before later adding walk-in/dine-in (?) space. One of the other quirks of Pembina and Grant is at the time McDonalds had locations inside Skydome that sold hotdogs. The Pembina and Grant location was said to be the only other McDonalds at the time to have hotdogs on the menu.
