Located along Longwood Road, the future Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Hamilton McMaster Innovation Park will provide essential accommodations for visiting researchers, faculty collaborators, industry partners and academic guests.

With 162 rooms designed for both short- and long-term stays, the hotel will help strengthen the university’s ability to host researchers and foster meaningful partnerships.

“This hotel is more than a building — it’s a catalyst for connection,” said McMaster President Susan Tighe.

“It will create spaces where new relationships form, where ideas take root, and where collaborations lead to real-world solutions.”

The hotel’s flexible meeting and event spaces will complement existing facilities at MIP, offering additional venues for academic conferences, research symposia, and innovation-focused gatherings.

These spaces will enhance McMaster’s capacity to convene thought leaders, accelerate research commercialization, and support the university’s commitment to solving real-world challenges through collaboration.

The project is being developed by the Sigma Group and Kothari Group, with an anticipated opening in fall 2026.
