Very strong chinook in Calgary today, high of 16! It was 12 for my bike ride in this morning, love cycling in shorts in November! Gusts up to 90k, but thankfully it was a tailwind and it should die down by the time I leave at 5:30!

Crazy watching the soccer game in Ottawa last night, what's more Canadian than a final played in a blizzard?!

Same here, went from having flowers and nice colorful trees to crap in about 24 hours. Dropped to -3.1 last night and it looks like we might not even rise above freezing today, so far the high is -0.4. But it's sunny and most of the snow is gone.

Chinooks here in Edmonton too. Headaches, windy, and the temps have risen just like Calgary.

I was on a roof at the University today, Wind almost blew us off but the temp at 8am was great. I still have plants blooming in my garden. That snow last week seemed to perk everything up. And our sunset last night was incredible.

I saw that Hamilton had a few hours of heavy snow being reported yesterday. If anyone is in the area, any pics? I know Toronto and especially the Windsor area usually escape the worst of these events, while Hamilton (snow) and London (cold and snow) get hit harder.

First cooler morning of the season here in Okayama, was a low of 5 this morning. High of 17 today, but next week cooler weather is expected to move in.

It was an ordinary day in Vancouver, partly sunny, becoming cloudy and a high around 14°C.

Meanwhile, it is +16C in Moncton at midnight.

We are on the east side of the vortex. Strong counterclockwise flow is bringing tropical air up to the Maritimes.

Crazy weather, I love it! In Montreal, it's not letting up, I wonder if they have snow plows going out tonight.

I have not seen any snowplows... it's a mess outside.

This is a very severe early November Arctic air for the area.
0C
with a wind chill of -3 and overcast this afternoon. Started snowing this evening around 6PM. By 10PM, we had already close to 15 cm (pictures were taken around that time).

Some trees still have leaves and the snow while pretty, can ve pretty damaging.

1C last night.

The warmspot was Maple Creek, SK at 19.0C

Warmest low was West Vancouver, BC at 10.8C.

Early winter weather leaves Montreal drivers scrambling for tire appointments
By Angela MacKenzie
Updated: November 10, 2025 at 8:57PM EST

Winter weather arrived early this year — and it caught many Quebec drivers off guard.

Now there’s a scramble to get winter tires installed, but some garages are booked solid well past the Dec. 1 deadline. With more winter weather in the forecast this week, drivers are getting desperate….

This is very early. This much snow this early in the month is record territory.

Also does not help that the bozos at EC did forecast 5 cm. Ended getting 15 in 4 hours.

Yesterday was strange. I went out for an iced coffee just before 7 a.m., t-shirt and hoodie, fine.

Around 9 a.m., I had to open my front door for something, and it was like someone threw iced water at me. I thought for sure something happened where the temperature was below freezing - but it wasn't real, neither at the airport, nor at my place:

Fascinating November weather yesterday, 15+ temps recorded in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI, while snow storms hit southern Ontario and Quebec.

I’m still surprised so many drivers wouldn’t have snow tires on yet. Heck, I had mine on a couple weeks ago and our chances of getting snow are way more remote. Here if you want to drive out of the city to the west or north the government required date is October 1.

That storm in the east looks intense! Still only had a skiff of snow here so far. Lots of snow in the mountains where I want it though!

It's not unusual to get a bit of snow in November, but such a heavy snowfall is extremely rare. I hadn't even finished tidying up my garden for the winter.

10:30pm last night:
