Wow, that's a really nice design.

I caught a show at the (back then) Molson Amphitheatre in 2016 and it was a good time, but pretty barebones in terms of experience. Making it 4 seasons will be a big change.

If only! I would've preferred a year-round design as well, but at least we have the Coliseum there for winter shows. We don't get crazy winds here, so only the very outermost seats would have to worry about rain anyway.

Toronto upgrades look wicked! Wish we'd pushed the capacity a bit more out here, but the site is pretty constrained.

The PNE Amphitheatre roof looks waay taller than the Plaza of Nations roof,
and the Plaza of Nations had to add tall glass panels to keep out the rain.

I suppose it depends on how many days per year the PNE Amphitheatre would be used.

They said it will be used pretty much as a year round facility from the documents I read. There was a mention of heaters but I assume that's for the suites.

The Lakeview multicultural United Church on 12th and Semlin is now demolished and is a pile of rubble; it will be replaced with a new church that also has 104 housing units on the site. Its not been used for quite a while now and was overgrown and fenced off for quite a long time, nice to see it get started.

If I lived in that immediate area, I would be pissed because there is already social housing (with lots of addicts) 750 meters away at the Biltmore, then Burnham Place social housing (with lots of addicts) just 200 meters away from the Biltmore, so that area already has more than its fair share.

Mt. Pleasant itself has 4 large social housing buildings. This one on Fraser is right on the border of Mt. Pleasant, so it would be nice if other neighbourhoods took on more social housing.

Though I should say there is a difference between social housing and supportive housing. The Biltmore and Burnham are supportive housing, which caters to addicts. I don't know if this latest development is supportive. There is social housing that has welfare rate, but tenants that don't require a support system on site, the way addicts do, so you are less likely to see disruptive type people in regular social housing.

that is a horrible area for Dogs. there are ZERO SIDEWALKS IN THAT AREA and a busy rail crossing right there. this is beyond stupidity.

FOI request on COV/VHDO plans. Seems like the plans got vastly scaled up between their initial planning.

All the projects were only 393,109 SF

It's moving a whole block away. And the dogs are kept in the shelter, that's its purpose, I don't see why sidewalks nearby is a requirement for an animal pound.
