Don't recall seeing him but, Alou and Pedro are all over it.

It was actually nice to have the Leafs on that early. I know some western Canadian fans complain on here when the Leafs head out there for Hockey Night In Canada and the game starts at 4 or 5pm but as a once in a while thing, it was pretty nice yesterday. I debated heading down for the game as tickets were actually pretty cheap relatively speaking.

Looks like they tweaked tuesday's Leafs matchup as well. 6pm start. Jays play at 8pm EDT (the next 4 Jays games are at 8pm EDT)

Wednesday's Leafs game is in Columbus, so that game is at 7h30 pm EDT. Jays start 30 minutes later, so it will have to be a bar outing, two screens at home, or Picture in picture on a single screen for Leafs fans on that day I guess.

Demidov, Kapanen and Dobes are the rookies. And the acquisitions of Bolduc and Dobson have big impacts.

The core is all signed for 8yrs at very reasonable AAVs. Nobody is making over 10M. Feels good to have a competent management team.

And then there is Hutson and Demidov... these 2 will be hitting the 100 pts mark sooner than you realize.

Yeah the only Leafs road game affected was Friday night in Buffalo and that was only because of the 22 hour rule. They couldn't start the Saturday game at 5 unless Buffalo agreed to move Friday night back to 7 from 730. Raptors moved a couple home games back as well, including their Friday night home opener. Toronto is in Philadelphia this coming Saturday night during a potential game 7, but since nobody will know until late Friday night if there even will be a game 7 (assuming it doesn't end in game 5 Wednesday) it would likely be too late to move it ahead, even if the league and Flyers wanted to. The league probably would want to move it for TV ratings purposes

Boeser and better overall team play leads to yet another Oilers loss.

Thankfully, October is almost over!

Flames finally win! Wonder if they will right the ship or continue to tank for better picks...

But December is usually their worst month. Or is that February?

I was surprised to see the Oilers are 4-4-2 since every time I look they have lost. Still 4-6, but way better in the standings than I figured.

Hats off to Crosby for 1701 points. 9th player to do so.

Crosby is the new ageless wonder, he just keeps putting up points! I expect him to pass Lemieux and Yzerman on the all time list this season, probably be top 5 all time whenever he retires.

Crosby is the same age that Gretzky was at his retirement.

True. There are few players that play this long. He, Malkin and Letang seem to be enjoying being the old guys playing shinny still. Would be great to see them this season if one can as time is inevitable.

Gretzky had noticeably declined a lot by this age, Crosby is still one of the best players in the league, it's kinda crazy. I bet he has 3 or 4 more seasons in him, barring any injuries.

I don't know. Gretzky's last few seasons weren't really slouches. Especially considering the a couple of injuries.

Code:
1993-94	Los Angeles Kings	NHL	32	81	38	92	130	20	-25	14	4	0	16.3
1994-95	Los Angeles Kings	NHL	33	48	11	37	48	6	-20	3	0	1	7.7
1995-96	Los Angeles Kings	NHL	34	62	15	66	81	32	-7	5	0	2	10.4
1995-96	St. Louis Blues NHL	34	18	8	13	21	2	-6	1	1	1	15.7
1996-97	New York Rangers	NHL	35	82	25	72	97	28	12	6	0	2	8.7
1997-98	New York Rangers	NHL	36	82	23	67	90	28	-11	6	0	4	11.4
1998-99	New York Rangers	NHL	37	70	9	53	62	14	-23	3	0	3	6.8
That 1996-1997 season is still tied for 4th in scoring, behind a younger Lemieux with 122 points.

Fair enough, wasn't really until the last season he really declined. Crosby is still at the same pace he's always been though and that's more the point I was making.

I was pretty much agreeing with your point that Crosby is just churning out the seasons without any issue. I was just adding that Gretzky never really tailed off that much. I thought he had so I looked and was surprised at how well he aged as well.

We just need to get through the regular season and hit stride in the playoffs.

I definitely thought Gretz had more than a single season where he declined, but not really. He wasn't the greatest ever in his last few seasons, but was still near the top in hid mid-late 30s. Different times I guess.

What's realistically the peak for Sid? if he has 3-4 more years, maybe he can be 3rd all time. If he can go like Jagr did, maybe he can be 2nd all time?! What a generation with Ovi about to hit 900 goals (I bet he goes for 1000) and Crosby possibly hitting or exceeding 1900 points.

That raises the question of McDavid's ceiling!

Habs are a tough team to beat when it comes to 3 on 3 hockey. Now 4-0 in overtime. Caufield is next level. It was his 11th career overtime goal, and in doing so, he passed Howie Morenz and Max Pacioretty for the most in franchise history.

Dobes is now 6-0 this year. Joins the ranks of Dryden, Price, and Wayne Thomas, Canadiens goalies to begin a season with a winning streak of 6 or more games.

They got 6 out of 8 points on their western road trip. Not too bad.
