Also, i think it would be a best practice to add Saint John, NB to all SJ related threads... as this forum isn't quite a New Brunswick only forum. Google often mixes up Saint John, NB and St. John's, NL.

If you want changes, you should contact a mod directly via PM. Your best bet is mylesmalley.

I do not think you need to add "NB" to al the Saint John threads. St. John's (NL) has it's own subforum. The St. John's forumers (and all NBers) would know the difference. Meanwhile, most NS forumers don't even know that a broader Atlantic Canadian forum exists. They stick to the Halifax subforum

Yeah, it's obviously not an issue for NB and NL people here on the forum, but it could be a slight issue for people from outside the region of Atlantic Canada who stumble upon the forum via google. SSP threads are sometimes among the top results when googling certain projects or topics relating to Saint John.

I was told a few weeks ago it's now 13. Although, I'm not sure if that's counting from Charlotte or King.

Was by here about an hour ago....no visible activity on the site. It's breezy today and perhaps those panels can't be craned into place above a certain wind speed? They would make pretty good sails.

Looks like about 1/2 of the first floor panels are in place. Not exactly an extremely fast pace two weeks after starting the assembly but maybe the first floor is more intricate and time consuming? . I was told back in July that it would be about 4-4.5 months from starting assembly to being closed in so I'd expect something close to 3 floors/month. I wonder if there is a production glitch with the panel supplier or if it is an assembly issue?

I was by yesterday and compared to the most recent photos in this thread you can see visible progress on the precast floor spans, quite a few have gone in over the past week.

Yes, the section further down King's Street is now level with the upper section, and the floor panels are in place. There are still some of the street-facing panels missing, though.

I really hope that wind isn't a major factor, or it is going to be a long winter getting all of those panels in place.

Yeah, I don't if the wind is a major factor or not but I have to think that much square footage would be quite susceptible to movement when hanging in the air from a cable. At what windspeed they would become unmanageable and/or unsafe I have no idea.

I assume the floor of the 2nd story has to all be in place (to form a 6 sided box) before the 2nd floor wall panels go up. Anybody know if that is correct?

Was wondering if we know for sure what the finished floor level will be? I remember reading before that nobody was 100% sure. Also, the title of the thread needs to be updated to "under construction".

I was told the developer is now saying "13". The question that remains is....."Is he counting from street level on Charlotte or from partway down King?"

So does that jive with the rendering from Strescon newsletter the last rendering came from? From that rendering you’d have to count the main floor on Charlotte as floor #2 (due to slope on King) and include the penthouse thingy to make it 13. Unless it is indeed the the rendering where it looks pale in colour and taller.

Meh, at this point it'll be like a fun "height reveal" party when we finally get to find out what the top out height is.
