I can't tell if it's phase 3 or 4 that is supposed to be completed by Christmas 2025, either way Royal ave on-ramp makes for a small difference.
What I labeled phase 5 with Hwy 17 off-ramp is scheduled for mid-2026. Although I wonder if the Columbia St. loop-ramp will be done before then.

Noticed that the last segment was in and managed to snip these from videos I took from the SkyTrain this morning.

Today they were installing final pair of cables!

I would say couple more weeks before it is actually connected.

Two and a half months now.

I have to assume they are sure it's achievable given the publicity they have been giving the opening date.

Just for the record, the whole thing being open with all traffic going over the new bridge and none over the old Pattullo will not happen in three months. It's going to be a phased opening, with northbound traffic on the new bridge happening first, and that's what they're saying will happen in three months.

This predates Lexus’s above photos, cables stays not yet attached.

The last pieces of steel of the bridge’s main span were installed last week.

Soon, crews will align the main span to be level with the north approach before the final connection.

U.S. tribe takes B.C. government to court over infrastructure consultation
Lawsuit by Lummi Nation references Pattullo Bridge, Massey tunnel projects
Lauren Collins
Oct 17, 2025

A Native American tribe in Washington State is taking the B.C. government to court for prohibiting the Nation from participating in consultations for multiple infrastructure projects.

Lummi Nation, which is based in western Washington, filed the petition for a judicial review in B.C. Supreme Court in Victoria on Sept. 29. The Lieutenant Governor and the Environmental Assessment Office are listed as respondents.

None of the claims have been proven in court. Responses to the civil claim must be filed within 21 days if the respondents live in Canada or within 35 days if they live in the United States....
