1) Great Montreal shots on this page
2) Appreciate the Waterton content; that's where my family cabin is and I often miss it when I'm out here in Winnipeg.
3) That's perhaps the best Ottawa pano I've ever seen
I won't pretend I'm not envious of all the tower cranes.

I'm glad you liked my Ottawa Pano. Believe it or not, I took it with my Galaxy S25 Ultra through an incredibly dirty window on the 17th floor of the Hilton Casino Lac Leamy.

I am really excited to redo it in a year's time after our new 2nd and 3rd tallest are in the frame, and in 5-7 years when all of these buildings should be dwarfed by the projects in the pipeline.

Ottawa has the density, it's just missing the signature towers. I liken it to Edmonton before Stantec and JW Marriot.

I love this angle of the Toronto skyline where it seemingly goes back in the distance forever.

Yeah that isn't exactly my favourite building either. But fortunately it's less visible after dark. And of course, a little paint probably wouldn't be that expensive.

Toronto is starting to get that "Gigantic Asian City" look...it always had the height, but now it has the endless density, multiple skyline nodes, and, well, something about the look of some of the buildings.

Agreed. Most Asian looking city in North American (ironically not Vancouver).

Fantastic Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal pics - we're fortunate to have the Big 3 in Canada. And Ottawa, still my sleeper to come into it's own some time in the next few decades in the same way that Portland Oregon or Austin gained a big national profile in the States. Not in terms of politics, but in terms of being recognized as a dynamic city that's drawing in new residents and tourists. And yes, I know every dog has it day and those cities are facing challenges as well.

So, as for Mount Royal, next time I'm up there I'll have to figure out a better strategy on how to get down after dark, lol. When I was there in September my hotel was just down the hill to the right, almost a straight line. Yet Google Maps tells me to take this trail where there is zero lighting..a trail with lots of tree roots, rocks, etc. Yah, no. So I just follow the crowd and lighted path which eventually takes me to a parking lot.. then by Beaver Lake, damn, going way out of my way. Eventually a path with lamps takes me back down to the main road with a long haul back to Mackay across from McGill. I suppose I should have taken the Grand Staircase even though that was counter intuitive.
