Had it last month on a layover in Pearson, was pretty good so I’ll definitely give it another go.

So strange there’s not more Taco Bell chatter. It should be opening within a couple months.

Drove by there on Friday past. Not much progress on the outside in about a month or so other than the purple cladding. (Weird). The parking lot is still not paved and the only activity there seemed to be workers installing new curbs out front.

The Taco Bell franchisee said there would be a November opening. Unless there is some sort of a miracle, there is no way this is happening in my opinion. Besides the lack of progress on the parking lot and the cladding, the inside is still an empty shell. I'm guessing February/March 2026. Only in Newfoundland does it take 3 years to build a Taco Bell.

Taco Bell now has fully done curbs and a fully paved parking lot. Looks good. Oh and by the way, we now have Popeyes rumours making its rounds.

Just got a notification that Stacked Pancake House is now opened on Whiterose Drive in the east end of town. For the life of me I cannot find that Facebook notification now. lol. Also…when you google Stacked it says there’s a new location coming soon to 46 Kenmount Road. That’s was the former location of Blaze Pizza that was next door to the CIBC on the Avalon Mall parking lot.

Perhaps they will actually open in November as previously announced.

Not really a fan of Mexican but I can see the mass appeal of this opening.

Have always heard rumours of Popeyes coming to town. Very anxious to try their chicken. I wonder what part of metro they would consider to open in first? There’s a practically new Burger King location on Ropewalk that’s now empty. Be easy to convert that over. Probably wouldn’t be good for KFC next door though.

Not my reference, but a good show indeed. I highly recommend it!

With that being said, I'll try to stay on track in this thread starting now.

What has it come to. St. John's has such an uneventful project thread that we now talk about Breaking Bad. With that said, however, one of my favorite shows of all time.... even named my two pets Walter and Jesse.

The low activity on here hasn't been helped by the fact that everything is spread thin across so many different threads. Should be consolidated.

Pizza Pizza is opening their second location in Metro. This one will be in the former Pizza House location in Paradise. This is on Topsail Road, just east of the McNamara roundabout.

There's a building being constructed near Octagon Pond in Paradise. it looks like a fast food or quick service restaurant. Any idea what this might be?

I heard it's a Tim Hortons/Wendy's. Also a No Frills going up the road by the plaza
