I'm assuming that if it were a plain flat facade, they would have used larger wider aluminum panels that could have been subject to oil-canning.
Narrower panels alone would eliminate the possibility of oil-canning.
That rendering doesn't show any seams at all, so if the intent was for a seamless look, they may have minimized the number of seams by using wider panels.
