A few more from skycandy and canadaniel @ urbantoronto.ca

I'm guessing they just installed the test fecade so it would be up for T.I.F.F.

This image gets me really excited to see these two towers rise. I'm picturing these at night, reflecting the city from all angles. They will always look animated.

The top hasn't changed since the 300m milestone. All that seems to be happening is the cladding continues to rise.

Those screw or rivet points do cheapen the look and also makes me question the long time newness. They're potential places for dirt and moisture to collect.

^^^ I was going to say all these fasteners could lead to staining down the road.

The rivets don't bother me in the slightest; they even give the material more irregularity, which will just add to the animated reflections and how light plays with these buildings.

Also, this is just a test panel; this section might come down when the shipments of finished panels are delivered. The finished panels may have no visible rivets when they finally start to arrive on site, like the rest of his designs, so I would suggest we wait and see what shows up.

Pinnacle One Yonge's SkyTower, now about 89 storeys and 275m high.

Photo taken by: UrbanToronto Forum contributor SkylineHorizons

17 floors to go, and roughly another 75m to rise.

While the second tower is the supertall, the one under construction now isn't no slouch either. It will soar 863 feet high (higher than any building in Canada outside of Toronto).
I am pretty sure the second tower will get a redesign to something more traditional to bring down costs. no one is paying $2000 per sqft in Toronto for a long time.

I sure hope not. That would be a big let down. The whole point of a Gehry project, is to look a certain way. Some boring glass piece of crap would be an insult to his legacy and have him turning in his grave.

My hope is that after people see how amazing the first one is, they will be open to paying premium prices to be a part of the second tower.

Passing over 1000ft now at around 308m, they've started work on the crown element.

The clouds below look Photoshopped but according to lenser skycandy from UrbanToronto, they are rare phenomenon called Kelvin-Helmholtz wave clouds. I learned something today ;-)

Forma looks very nice already but I wonder if it might distract drivers and cyclists if the sunlight hits it in a certain angle.

Hopefully it doesn't melt cars like the "Walkie Talkie" building in London.
