London’s Jet Aircraft Museum (JAM)

I suspect many folks don't even know about this museum.

The facility located at London International Airport is fundraising to acquire two CF-104 Starfighters.

Open since 2009, JAM is home to multiple flying and static vintage aircraft.

Also I will add this here but we are doing a job for the jet training school by the airport where we will be constructing another hangar for them. I believe it will begin next year some time.

Interesting. I didn't even know that this museum existed.

Right beside the museum is the International Test Pilot School as well. It's the big white hangar backing on to Crumlin just north of the airport parking lot. They provide initial jet fighter training to several Air Forces around the world. They have a fleet of several L-29 and L-39 cold war era jet trainers that many in the city have probably seen or heard and not realized. They also utilize a couple of the jets the Jet Aircraft Museum has, including the T-33 Red Knight. JAM also has a CF-101 Voodoo on display outside that you can see from Crumlin between their hangar and ITPS and pieces of several other aircraft inside and outside. One of the T-33s they restored was sold to a US pilot who uses it in airshows now. They have a few Tutor jets that they are trying to make airworthy again, this is the type the Snowbirds use. They also have the front end of a MIG-29 that they restored into Ukraine Air Force colours at the start of that war. The JAM hangar also gets rented out for banquets and conferences. I've seen it set up for a wedding with a couple of the jets being brought inside as conversation pieces lol.

It's definitely a hole in the wall. I visit it about once a year to see the progress on the Tutors and the Vampire. It's a great little museum
