I see work going on behind Sporting Intentions out in the West Royalty Area. Does anyone know what it may be? Also, any word on DQ going across the bridge where Phinley's was?
Also so I see the second apartment building has started out in Winslow, across from the Petro-Can in behind the first one that is still being finished.

SUMMERSIDE UPDATE!
Folks have been asking non stop about the opening day, and we honestly can't blame them! Its an exciting time. We're hard at work renovating the old Silver Fox and turning it into something brand new. Its a lengthy process full of blood, sweat and concrete! New floors, new rooms, new lighting, fresh paint and stains, an entirely new bar built from scratch and lots of refrigeration to keep your Bogside Brewing beverages ice cold!
We're aiming for a opening date before the holiday season but as you all know, renovations are a moving target, but rest assured we are working as fast as we can to open our doors and welcome all of summerside in for some delicious pizza, classic BBQ and ice cold craft beer 🍺 🍖🍕
Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to follow our page!

Commercial space, 40 apartments, bunch of parking. Go to the city’s YouTube page, there was a presentation at the economic development committee meeting today.

Looks not too bad! I wish it was at least 10 floors. We'll take it as it provides 40 apartment units, units that will add to the low rental capacity in the downtown. It's something we need, more people living in the downtown.
To add, I like how they used brick on the queen street streetscape, to blend into the present brick facade of most buildings.
Now can we do something with Great George St across from Service Canada.

Saw that presentation. Charlottetown is growing slower than other communities in the region. Nothing new, it has been trending that way for 30 years. Charlottetown should be focusing on density. Stratford will likely be the main service area in the next 10-20 years.

With the increase of housing, the East Royalty, West Royalty, Hillsborough village areas, we've seen an explosion of new folks moving there. An area where we see a lot of development is in the mall area, and there is lots more to come. The climb is steady in the CY Population, and the density is needed, it's the downtown that the numbers are slow to increase. With the restrictive 500 lot fiasco, we'll not see the numbers like we see north of there. The new uptown (mall area) will develop to be the place live and work. All the downtown will be is for tourists and government workers. Pity! The city and NIMBYS still look at downtown as a protected zone, which will fade away. All we have to do is look at the PNP Mall, the pain is real and NOW!

I work at Rona and its our new yard. The owner of the building owns St.Louis and he wanted more parking.
