Does anybody have any insight as to why the western tower has that temporary cladding moving up with the forming? I don't think I've seen that before. And its only on two sides? Wot the heck mate?

That image is a few weeks old. It's all around now, and they've started installing it on the east tower as well. It's called a climbing form, or jump form. It's common in other cities where they build taller towers than Ottawa. Might be the first time we see this here. It speeds up construction when building a tower with a repetitive floor plate.

There are a few people who are dumbfounded by our complimentary position on Claridge Ascent, but I don't think anyone ever called it a masterpiece. Like you said, it's a high quality background tower, as opposed to most Claridge projects that are offensive in nature with low quality, blank walls, dark colours, random patterns.
Relevé, Renaissance (if they match the quality of Relevé, their two Market projects give me pause) and Odenak should reallly elevate our skyline in more ways than one.
