The City of Lougheed type with cutouts looks good.

I am curious why this Hospital is still called. St. Paul's? The Church didn't pay for it and the Church doesn't run it. Hard pressed to find nuns walking around.
Taxpayer funded hospitals are non-secular. I OPPOSE THE NAME ST. PAUL's.

The first two finished screens have been installed on the northern end of the facade. They're a representation of basket weaving - quite subtle, and the same colour as the bronze panels, so they fit in far better than the dark louvres.

Providence Health Care sold the existing hospital to Concord Pacific for nearly a billion dollars, and all of the proceeds are funding the new hospital. The Provincial government are also providing about a billion. Several private philanthropists have provided millions of dollars towards the project as well, which is why it will be known as The Jim Pattison Medical Campus (he donated $75m). SO YOU CAN STOP SHOUTING.

I think it’s more to do with them imposing their religious beliefs into the practice of medicine ie against euthanasia etc. we shouldn’t have a cult run hospitals

It's okay they'll still euthanize you but they'll just do it a VCH "room".

the screens are up on i think two of the mechanical sections if anyone happens to be in the area. The art pattern is more geometric than the render shown in the above 2021 public art plan. It does make the louvres less jarring but also adds to the feeling of mishmash/hodgepodge of the building. I guess i'll reserve my judgement to the end.

they run much more than a single hospital. They are an extremely important part of the health care in BC and you might be using their services without you even knowing it.

If all goes as planned, in more than a year from now, Vancouver’s brand new St. Paul’s Hospital could be seeing its very first patients.

Construction on the $2.18-billion acute care hospital — providing a wide range of major provincial-level specialized services — at the northwest corner of the False Creek Flats, just south of Chinatown and north of Pacific Central Station and SkyTrain’s Main Street–Science World Station, began in early 2021....

...Throughout 2025, very extensive work has been accomplished with completing the exterior and outfitting the interior.

In particular, work is now advancing on furnishing and equipping the interior of the vast 2.1 million sq. ft. of total building floor area spread across interconnected west and east towers....
