It’s actually beyond wacky how many stores there are. I know it’s a meme but seriously I can’t believe the market continues to support that volume of outlets.

The now-fenced-in empty lot on the northwest corner of Aubert and St Joseph got shoring put in this week along the property line with the houses for sale to the west. This lot was used for storage during the construction of the apartment at St Joseph and Notre Dame St.

Across the street the Qualico/Streetside lot has a new variance notice up.

Anyone know what’s going in on the northwest corner? It’s been all dug out now.

I feel like the entire stretch of Tache north of provoncher is a missed opportunity. Like you said, plenty of CRU's that would've been great for that park. It's a slept on park, and has the best view of the skyline. In my mind, would've been perfect for a second location of Fete ice cream/cafe

^ i disagree, it's a short few blocks to Provencher where retail, cafe, health services should all congregate.

Lots of opposition from local residents for this development including, height, setbacks, parking ramp approach, balconies, rooftop patio, number of units, but ultimately it was approved by Riel Community Committee with conditions, car share, 3 traffic calming measures and 25 three bedroom units (which was already part of the building plan).

My favorite classic line, we are here in opposition to a number of issues with this development but we are not NIMB's.

Piles being driven and all hands on deck for the new residential building at 455 St. Mary's Rd. It should appear prominently as one drives north up St. Mary's as you go around the bend from St. Anne's Rd

The chocolate lady is now suing for the costs to deal with snow load on her building! Lmao what a disgrace. The CBC are article makes no mention of her denying access or her not cooperating st all with the developer/City.
