Deeply missing the heightened definition and verticality of the previous proposed skin and proportions of setbacks.

This will be nice, but it had a chance to be elegant and stand standout from the other collection of glass towers.

There's definitely some abnormal floor being constructed now, they are pouring pillars that seem to be twice the height of a normal floor. Zooming in on the elevator shaft, it looks like they are currently on floor 46. Enjoy the pics!

^That's awesome! Perhaps they're working on a mechanical floor if there's a height difference.

Joking aside, I'm hopeful the mechanical levels won't be too offensive (e.g. St. Regis).

Yeah same-- this rendering appears to show the mech vents just replacing the smaller windows, with the larger central panes matching the rest of the tower. But who knows if this is how they'll actually do it.

Here are some pics from yesterday! Starting to fill a gap from the 11th street pedestrian bridge pov, and from the museum campus

From today-- the first setback is complete!

Also, they've started laying masonry on the podium levels:

We're what, a year and a half into this one now? It feels like it's been a really slow climb.

You mean it doesn't look like this beautiful art deco limestone facade and base?

The vertical pinstripes are an architectural homage to Ed Burke's suits.

It could use a lot more texture or depth. This seems like another Cirrus/Cascade, both of which seem to have more character than this. Again, this is from what we have so far. I will hold my judgement from now on until BOTH towers are complete.
