That map/calculation doesn't include that KIA will be manufacturing EVs at the West Point factory soon (the only plant in Georgia that is actually building cars to date).

Even though it's not a massive investment, it means that another big chunk of EVs will be made in Georgia.

In addition, there's the VW plant in Chattanooga, already making EVs, just outside of the state borders.

Amazing to see the comparison above which shows the last 3 years have added nearly the same amount of units as the previous decade. Would love to see stats on the city as a whole as I imagine it would indicate a similar trend of accelerated growth.

US hotel construction: Sunbelt leads boom in top 50 US markets

Through the third quarter of 2024, 36 of the top 50 markets announced five or more new hotel construction projects. Dallas, which reported 32 new projects and 4,150 rooms, leads the list, with Atlanta second with 31 new projects and 3,383 rooms. Orlando was third with 20 projects and 4,187 rooms.

Rivian (finally) broke ground yesterday on the $5B plant slated to start production in 2028 with 7,500 jobs not counting suppliers that will set up shops and factories around the plant.

Also most may know and previously announced is Rivian's east coast HQ going into Krog District on The Beltline.
