After about 5 days of solid smoke we finally basked in some clear skies and sunshine. Photo below was just the other day and today on the bottom.

26c and sunny today, beautiful September day. Looks like Highs are creeping back up to 29c for the rest of the week. Really looking forward to cooler Autumn temperatures, eventually.

20C and sunny. A bit on the chilly side yet again.

Low of 9C this morning. Downtown Montreal remained above 10C. 87 straight lows above 10C and counting. We would not approach last year's mark (118 consecutive days) because of the chilly start to June.

The warmspot was Nelson, BC at 31.4C. This month could be historic in BC.

Warmest low was Ashcroft, BC at 17.7C.

It was supposed to be overcast & rainy but ended up being a warm, beautiful day, so I had to sneak off early for some beach time.

Algonquin Park (East Gate) hit -0.4 c at 7 am this morning. Likely the first freezing temperature in southern Ontario for the freeze list.

Beautiful beach scene for a big city Vancouver.

Today was a pleasant fall day, less blustery than it's been and pure sunshine. High of 22.

It looks like we will skip out on our usual September heatwave, barring a very late surge of warmth. However, the long term forecast looks really nice, with highs between 22-26 and wall to wall sunshine. Certainly nothing to complain about.

18C and sunny in Moncton at 11 AM, going up to 23C this afternoon.

We had 15 mm of rain on Sunday, just enough to tease the lawn, but, the drought continues, and it is wall-to-wall sunshine for the upcoming week.

I want to be all "It's a park?" just for badness, but I know what you mean. There's a handful of the same cast from London, UK, in various cities - six total, I read. Ours celebrated its centennial earlier this summer. It was funded by Sir Edgar Bowring in memory of his little granddaughter who died on the Florizel. One of those weird things with outsized recognition here as there's a book about it we have to read in elementary school.

The bridge in the pics right above, btw, is another unusual one. Same architect as the Sydney Opera House.

Interesting, thanks. I was trying to think if there was some kind of NFLD connection to J.M.Barrie!

There's one of the Peter Pans in a Toronto park as well: https://maps.app.goo.gl/DiMQs1cAsvC39mDb7

23C with a humidex of 25 and sunny. The non stop sunshine is not surprising really as September (especially the first half) is usually our sunniest and driest period of the year.

Tulip tree

Low of 11C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 33.5C.

Warmest low was Medicine Hat, AB at 19.0C

This BC heat wave is something else. Not only did it give a new monthly all-time national high but it's just non stop heat since then. I would already rank it as the third most severe in the country in recent years after June 2021 and March 2012.
Look at those anomalies month to date.

It hasn't really seemed like that much of a heatwave for Vancouver. Like today, most of the days have been starting out with low overcast (and maybe smoke) making it seem a bit chilly. It does warm up in the afternoons.
