At one point there were more pot shops than Tim Hortons in Manitoba

I have no idea how to smoke but I once went in one with a friend and he saw stoner friends he knew and had a coffee-shop like conversation in there. Then another came in, and another. It was kind of awkward to just be standing there and not nodding but also interesting at the same time to see how these kinds of conversations moved from the coffee shop to the pot shop.

Structural steel cross beams and roof joists now installed on the new McDonalds. Still no signage up for the new Shoppers and Dollarama with much more progress showing on the interior of the Shoppers then the Dollarama at this point.

Signage was up at Shoppers when we drove by just now at 9pm. It must have gotten installed this afternoon as I don't believe it was up when I drove by yesterday.

Galen's galactic empire continues to expand, despite the atrociously high prices he charges at Shopper's Dog Fart.

It looks like they’ve got a lot stocked already. Non perishables.

Didn’t see a sign saying when they open.

Looks like they have now covered up the green Dollarama colour. Wonder if Dollarama has pulled out of opening next door to the Shoppers?

The future McDonalds now has the window and door modules installed. Roofing contractor is installing the flat roof. Still no exterior insulation as of yet. The Dollarama signage is now installed so it is getting closer to opening.

Osmows isn’t open yet, googlemaps entry was wrong.

The site plan has changed again: https://www.westdellcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/2025.10.05-Stoney-Creek-Commons-Website.pdf

some tenants have dropped off including KFC and Starbucks. And they’ve gone back to a big store format in phase 2.

Looks too small to be a Walmart (aren't all their new stores superstores?), looks to big for much else... Canadian Tire maybe?

Although the parking lot is likely too small for either retail outlet (everyone drives to Walfart/CrappyTire).

This would have been a great location for a third Costco (which is badly needed in London...the one on Wonderland is a zoo on the weekends).
