Is there an idea of what the bike lanes will look like when this is completed? The project page says 14km of 'active transportation' paths will be added.

Will they run right next to the guideway in the median of Fraser highway? Haven't noticed them any renderings

I think we can safely assume they won’t be in the median.

They’re show in the various station renders and diagrams in this document.

There's some other cross-sections here from 2022 but not sure if it's the current design

Here's the floorplan for the mezzanine that'll use those lower support brackets.
I think they need to install some sort of barrier for overheights.

There should be no need for that. 'All' truckers around here check their height and plan their route accordingly.

Jokes aside, it looks there is plenty of clearance, similar to, if not more than, Brentwood.

Overpasses built to MoTT’s current standard of 5.0m structure clearance aren’t the ones getting hit.

Oh I’m sure one of our fine and professional trucking companies can find a way.

There's more the enough clearance. Yes it's the trucker's responsibility, but I also can't help but notice that all the overpasses that get hit are ones that are substandard and built in the 70s.

I think these have been pounded deeper into the ground on the right side of Lexus' pic.

Here at Langley City Centre Station, piles are being installed into the ground.
These piles will support the station structures!

They are putting up forms for a pillar right outside the hot tub window at the Surrey Sport & Leisure pool. You can sit in the hot tub and watch

Those photos do explain what those strange concrete forms on the other guideway in Stainer's video update are going to be used for.. though I'm not sure if the renderings lined up with a mezzanine or something in that area.

Still a bit annoyed they didn't go with a side of the road alignment so they could use ground floor mezzanines and have a lower height to the platforms. I feel like it was the one good outcomes of the value engineering on the canada line

The design is an about minimizing the footprint as much as possible to fit the location, having a mezzanine level is a small price to pay for that.

From the photo it looks like an overheight truck would take out the traffic lights before hitting the actual station structure, so I don't think this would be a particularly at-risk location.

This is the only centre of road station, designed to preserve the parklands - all the others (except maybe the terminus) are at the side of the road.
Agreed that it is clunky - plus there is a siding above the roadway, so the roadway will be doubly in shadow, but the trees do that too.

Agreed - 1/8 stations having a full mezzanine ain't so bad

I wonder about the ridership of this station anyways - it's probably not going to be a mega draw because so much of the catchment is undevelopable (park). So the whole takes-longer-to-access thing won't affect too many people anyways.

Being right next to the Outpatient Centre is the point of this station. It won't be the quietest station, although it likely will be of this new batch of stations.

not sure why they even built a station here...its so close to king george station and a main portion of the surrounding land is green timbers forrest, established low rise buildings and the outpatient facility.
They shouldnt have built this station...waste of time and money...and makes the commute from langley even longer with the stop.

Green Timbers station is projected to be the 5th busiest station of the project, even through 2050.

To put that into context, it'll be number 5 of 8.
