Assumption Church denied national historic site designation; parish vows to keep pushing
Our Lady of Assumption Church will not be added to Canada’s list of national historic sites.
The news came as a disappointment to those working to preserve the historic building.

Windsor Public Library seeks feedback on future of Central Branch.
The board will hold a drop-in public information centre (PIC) on Sept. 23, where display boards will showcase three unique layouts and amenity options to be considered for when a future location is determined.

$826,000 for skills training in Windsor-Essex
The province is coming through with over $826,000 to support workers in Windsor-Essex.
The money, through the Skills Development Fund, will help apprentices obtain skills in manufacturing and construction.

Windsor to spend $500,000 on Willistead Park

Starting Monday Sept. 29, 50 fence pillars will be rebuilt around the historic Willistead Manor and Park. Each pillar will be disassembled and rebuilt using original materials.
