It’s a bummer too, as I really loved the design of The London. I thought it was a striking-looking tower.

This isn't exactly development related, but I made a list of the 25 tallest buildings in Idaho by height and floor count. Please tell me if there are any mistakes or missing buildings so I can have the most accurate list. This list doesn't include canceled buildings because that's too much to deal with and keep track of.

Edit: fixed the story count for Sherman Tower (16fl->15fl)
Edit 2: added the height of Lake Tower (125’)
Edit 3: removed Ovation from the list due to permit expiring a month ago. This means that Chase Tower (160’, 11fl) is now back on the tallest buildings list and St. Luke’s Tower (174’, 9fl) is back on the most floors list.
Edit 4: added the status of each building on the list to better keep track of what’s actually there and what is just a concept.
Edit 5: changed status of 11th and Front to approved, as the second DR has been approved.

KEY: C - Complete
T - Topped out
U - Under construction
A - Approved
P - Proposed

How did you get the height measurements for things like the St Luke’s tower and others?

They have been in places in this thread. Specifically found St. Luke's height on page 211. Also thanks for the compliment.

Boise State just unveiled a large part of their master plan for the area! https://arbiteronline.com/2025/09/13/boise-state-unveils-vision-for-300m-athletics-master-village/

Does this mean the possible skyscrapers are out of the conversation now?

I just checked in with Boise State on this - there's nothing new here, it's all the stuff they talked about a few years ago.

based on today's Boisedev article about 11th and Front, it looks like there may be new renderings. the original permits link on page 231 no longer works, for some reason. anyone know if there are updated documents elsewhere in the city planning pages?

The links still work but unfortunately, you now need an account with the city to access them anymore. Good news though, it's free and you can call yourself out as a citizen.

For 11th and Front, they submitted an updated CUP as well:

Looks like there are a bunch of hoops to jump through with the city council and building codes to make this happen. Hopefully the city works with them, because this seems like an awesome project and a really cool addition to downtown Boise.

11th + Front

reading through the planning & zoning documents & the city of Boise requirements mostly has to do with the amount of bike stalls and the entrance for vehicle's into the parking garage along 10th as well as freight deliveries , but as the developers are pointing out that the new Marriot has it's entrance for vehicle's & freight on 10th as well , and busy front street is controlled by ITD , 11th is a pedestrian pathway as well as an entrance to Downtown so the 10th is the only alternative , I'm sure the city will make this project happen and allow for the project to move forward especially for the housing it will bring to downtown and employment during construction and just the economic boost as well as a very nicely designed dark blue tone glass building and Idaho's tallest building tying Utah's tallest @ 451' , what a beautiful well thought out enhancement to Boise's skyline from all directions leading into the city

P&Z meetings for the CUP and Variance permits set for November 10th!

As a side note, do any of y’all have any more renderings that weren’t in the boisedev article? I can’t really find any of the new ones from Accela.
