Do we still have no confirmation of what is going into the new unit by RBC at East Point? When I was up there a few weeks ago, the glass was in, and it didn't look too far from being ready, although I am sure there is still plenty of internal work to complete.

Montanna's BBQ & Bar at 56 Depot Court is currently undergoing renovations. They are temporarily closed and will re-open on August 25th.

Dollar Tree is coming soon to 90 Consumers Drive, (the big empty unit next to Carter's). Building permits were recently issued by the city. Signage should be going up soon since those permits were just registered yesterday on August 27th 2025 according to the permit database.

The doors were wide open today with people inside. There was an Ontario van parked beside entrance.

Updates for McAllister Place. The mall's leasing plan was recently updated, now showing Mr. Pretzels coming soon to the former Booster Juice spot next to Freak Lunchbox.

And The Body Shop is returning to the mall. Opening in the former GNC spot next to Soft Moc.

Both are listed for October 2025 openings.

I usually avoid Lancaster Avenue and Simms Corner when driving over Fairville way, but I might ride my bike to Olson's later this week and take a picture if there's any significant updates.

Not sure what I think about the grey paint, but I'll reserve judgement until it's finished and ready to open.

This should be a positive retail development for the West Side.

I expect it will be open well before Christmas, or maybe even before Halloween?

Feel like Cask and Kettle or Britts would be one of the 2 best options to check.

You would think so but neither offer one. For those that don't know a full English includes the following....

"A full English breakfast, also known as a "full monty" or "fry-up," typically includes back bacon, sausages, eggs, and a type of bread (toast or fried bread). Couldn't help but not think of this classic Alan Partridge clip with the four "Full British Isles Breakfasts."

I'd assume many of Saint John's many Bed and Breakfasts would offer "the full English"... but do any of them serve customers that are not staying at their B&Bs? 🤔

Perhaps the former Suwanna location on Lancaster Avenue will eventually be an option? I think I heard it was being turned into a Bed and Breakfast, but that might have just been speculation.
