You don't need a better clue. They interviewed the franchisee. It's confirmed.

So much drama over a Taco Bell.. lol.

Now if we could only get a Swiss Chalet in Vancouver (or a Harvey's!).

They interviewed the franchisee, who owns the Pizza Hut Franchise in Galway. Two more Taco Bell's are planned for the St. John's area.

There used to be, although I don't know how many, the last Swiss Chalet in BC closed in Burnaby in 2022. There also used to be a Harvey's located at Home Depot in Vancouver. BC's best kept secret chain however, is White Spot, in BC since 1928.

Oh I know. I was at the Burnaby one on the last day!

There was a standalone Harvey's on Granville downtown. It was a fairly new building, but they decided to redevelop it, the Harvey's closed rather than relocate. That new building now has a KFC and ironically, a Taco Bell.

Ron.

Burger King on Ropewalk Lane is closed. I heard rumours of it's closure earlier yesterday and passed by last night and it was indeed dark. Whether it's for renovations or an ownership change or just gone out of business, I do not know at this point.

The Jumping Bean at Glenhill Plaza in Mount Pearl is closed. It's empty and a sign for Alphas Supplement store is being installed.

I checked out the Burger King on Ropewalk the other day and they are indeed closed. They have a posted note on the door. “This location closed until further notice.”

That’s the colour everybody’s been waiting for. I just spent 2 weeks in Florida and I ate to many 5 layer burritos & Locos Tacos.

This has got to be the worst kept secret in recent memory. Taco Bell Canada still says nothing in regards to it. And the construction is going at a snails pace, which is typical for any building progress in metro. I’m sure locals will go nuts for it when it eventually opens. In the meantime, I just purchased a make your own Taco Bell taco kit at Sobeys. Lol.

They have announced it.....about a month ago. It was featured on the All Newfoundland. It will open in November. The franchisee is the same guy who owns the Pizza Hut in Galway. It's part of a 3 restaurant deal with 2 more planned for metro in the near future.

Saw lots of activity on Kelsey Drive this afternoon where the Osmow’s is going. Just had it in Fredericton and can’t wait to have one of our own here!
