Possibly. Large apartment buildings like this however often have amenities like fitness centres and party rooms. Being on the 30th floor, I could see this being a popular location for something like this.

I wonder when we'll see them working to extend Harpers lane into the Superstore parking lot street? With that many units, it would really help with the vehicle flow in & out of the property. No rush, but it's gotta get done at some point.

I would think in most cases the top floor is too valuable to be used for this amenities rather than residential units.....but maybe that's just true for condo developments.

And maybe a pool.....

I wish developers in New Brunswick would be like Concord Pacific and tell their architects they want something unique. Hell! I wish some developers in NB would even use architects!

I saw two cranes, huge piles of soil (some kind of digging ) and few big pipes on ICON site today, i m not sure if that cranes and pipes are for the upgrades of the downtown roads or something actually starting on the ICON site. Anyone have any updates regarding that? I really hope something starts on this site. It will create a benchmark for the future buildings in Moncton to go high.

I imagine they are just using the ICON site as a staging area for the work on East Main Street, but, we should know more in the next couple of weeks.

Based on what I have heard this project is not moving forward this year. Same goes for St. Bernard's. I think it will be another disappointing year for downtown projects.

Here's your photo:

Still inconclusive IMHO. Will keep an eye on this.

I think this staging area is purely coincidental as the outlet for the new storm drainage is literally across the street in the Chateau Moncton's parking lot (nearest to the Classic Burger building). When I drove by this weekend, I noticed that they had a bunch of the area moved/dug up around the Riverfront area. My guess is that they can't have all this stuff sitting in the Chateau Moncton parking lot.

Yeah the city is rushing to get the road work done this year, and clearly this project was a factor in their timings. Any equipment you see on site is likely for the road work which was supposed to start now I think? Or soon at least.

If we're lucky we'll see ground broken for Infinity by the end of the summer, when Main street is pretty much done.

I definitely think you are right, either Fall or spring 2026. I think that’s what a lot of these developments are waiting on, infrastructure projects for sewage, water, drainage etc.

I can only imagine how hard it would be to do work with the main road being under construction. It’s very Similar to Ashford. Just waiting for the city.

They did the underground work for Saint Bernard's, too bad that project wouldn't get going.

That is a very fair point! Forgot about that. They seem like they have been serious about it, especially since the made that website, but at this point it’s hard to say, with everything that’s going on.

New Infinity Aerials photo showing the major infrastructure work going on on East Main Street, with the Infinity Tower site being used as a marshalling yard.

Moncton skyline showing a little heft in the background.

This height would correspond to some of the upper levels in the 30 storey Infinity Tower. The apartment units on the upper floors will have an interesting view over downtown in the background and the Petitcodiac River.

Two things jump out at me with this picture.

I can see 55 Queen at 8 floors, so imagine if St. Bernard's Place at 18 floors was in this picture what an impression it would make. It's practically across the street (Wesley) from 55 Queen. It would make a serious impact on this neighbourhood, and all of downtown for that matter.

The other thing that stands out is the huge vacant lot just west of the Infinity site, owned by Irving I believe. What a prime piece of land for development! I know it's not hurting a multi billion dollar company like Irving to sit on it, but I wonder what it would take to see this land developed at some point in the future.

Also an incredible example of how much and wide the Petitcodiac has gotten from the opening of the bridge. It’s no longer looking like a stream anymore. Great progress.

Yep. All you have to do is look at the large clumps of grass that keep falling off. The river keeps eating away at the banks. It's just a matter of time before the erosion reaches the old dump.

Talking with an industry professional today. Apparently requests for quotations are going out. It sounds like it is still full steam ahead for 30 storeys for the Infinity Tower, making it the tallest building in NB.

We may see some site prep this fall, with full fledged construction next year.
