With Suwanna and Bubbly Cup also having new patios this year, I'd say that is the most I can recall. Between the new boardwalk and these patios, there is no shortage of outdoor space.

The Big Tide 'patio' is absolutely awful. Everywhere else has an OK-to-great wooden one. Big Tide's is two jersey barriers and some temporary fencing. Surprised the city allowed it.

Saw that a few weeks ago driving down Princess. Agree 100%! It's an eyesore and shouldn't be permitted.

AFAIR Britt's entrance is up two steps, through a heavy wooden door into an old fashioned vestibule and then up several more to another door. Going to be hell on the servers.

- Bagel Artist opening in stall #9.

- Kim's Koreans Food relocating to stall #16 & 17.

- Market Street Kitchen is opening in stall #60.

I caught this, too, at the start of the meeting, and I am glad to hear it. The stall numbers mean very little to me, so I can't quite picture where they are going yet.

Bagel Artist is a great addition. I have only been to their East Side location a few times, but when they first opened, they sold out quickly every day. Freshly baked and prepared, and at a reasonable price. They were at the Queens Square Farmers Market the other week, which I think is new for them as well. There will be some competition there with Charlotte Street Bakery and Jeremiah's, but I think it's fine.

I am not familiar with Market Street Kitchen. I assume that might be a new vendor?

I'm also unfamiliar with stall numbers. I have been told however, that Kim's is moving down to the former Slocum and Ferris location so that must be 16&17.

I did a quick Google search but couldn't find anything like a stall diagram or a vendor directory with map. The market's website is actually pretty bad with photos showing long closed vendors and a blank page under "New and Upcoming"

Filling Billy's Seafood spot would be terrific, but it is still a very challenging location until 99 King is complete. I wouldn't be signing up to move in there.

The owners of the Pub Down Under are the ones that will be opening Market Street Kitchen in the former Billy's location.

They are adamant that this won't be another Pub Down Under location as it will have a variety of different foods - breakfast/brunch buffets, pad thai, seafood, etc.

I am happy it is an established local business attempting this, and that should help get them things up and running quicker. Whether it is a step up from their existing food, time will tell. However, I still think it is going to be a challenging first year until the construction finishes up.

Yes, was told that by a couple of market tenants earlier this morning. Supposedly somewhat more upscale (or at least different) than Pub Down Under

Agreed on a challenging first year, however when that building is finished this would be a prime spot for breakfast lunch with return to office happening.

IOL, the Brunswick Square Tower and 91 King all within easy walking distance I would think they would there is a market as a Cora's style replacement.

New uptown restaurant aiming for 'middle of the road' pricing

Set to open sometime in the autumn, Market Street Kitchen aims to fill the hole left at 51 Charlotte St., the location at the city market that housed Billy’s Seafood for more than three decades. That restaurant’s long tenure in the uptown and their own successful businesses in the city prompted Jeff and Liz Fulton to successfully bid to open a new restaurant at the location.

The pair – who own both Pub Down Under locations as well as Callie’s Pub and Rebel Entertainment – said they’re aiming for a restaurant that features fine dining without breaking patrons’ wallets.

“It’s a different style of restaurant,” Liz Fulton told Brunswick News. “We’ve been looking to do a different one than the pub but we’ve been waiting for the right location and waiting for the right opportunity. This opened up and we put a bid on it and we were lucky enough to get it.”

A different type of restaurant means Market Street Kitchen won’t feature a pub atmosphere and the menu will reflect that with a variety of dishes and “an affordable menu where people won’t have to spend $100 a head to come out and eat,” explained Jeff Fulton.

Also note that the uptown location of Cannabis NB on Germain Street has been undergoing renovations since the week before last. I will take a look once it's complete to see the difference, but I would interpret this as them intending to stay in this unit long-term.

Yes, former Wild Carrot location is what I've been told. I've also been told that Jeremiah's is looking at expanding into the current Kim's location in order to be able to expand their menu and offer hot food.
