Would be nice if there was a pedestrian bridge to connect the Hunters Point and Greenpoint waterfronts. Pulaksi is there but it's more out of the way and not the most pleasant. Probably too much water traffic to be feasible, but Brooklyn is not too far away from a continuous waterfront from Greenpoint to Williamsburg to the Navy Yard. Both sides keep building out, would be nice to have a more seamless connection.

Three Towers Announced for Greenpoint Landing Phase Two in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Quote:
The Domain Companies and LMXD have entered into a joint venture with Park Tower Group to co-develop the next phase of Greenpoint Landing, a mixed-use project on Brooklyn’s waterfront in Greenpoint. Designed by Handel Architects, the new phase will deliver more than 1,000 rental units, including 300 affordable apartments, across three residential towers located at 21 Freeman Street, 37 Freeman Street, and 209 West Street. The development will also feature more than 20,000 square feet of retail space and an extension of the waterfront public park adjacent to the Greenpoint ferry stop.

21 Freeman Street will rise 40 stories with 503 residential units, 37 Freeman Street will stand 30 stories tall and contain approximately 298 units, and the nine-story structure at 209 West Street will yield around 224 units. Together, the three buildings will add to the 22-acre Greenpoint Landing master plan, which has already delivered nearly 3,000 apartments and several acres of public open space along the East River.

Greenpoint Landing phase two secured an $81 million senior land loan from Bank OZK and approximately $33 million in mezzanine financing from InterVest Capital Partners, which also provided structured equity for acquisition and pre-development. Financing was arranged by JLL Capital Markets, and the joint venture was represented by Hunton Andrews Kurth. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2026.

“We are excited to partner once again with Domain and Park Tower to transform this incredible waterfront site,” said David Dishy, CEO of LMXD.”Having built the first affordable buildings of Greenpoint Landing with Park Tower Group more than a decade ago, it is especially rewarding to see how inviting and vibrant this whole waterfront community has become and to see it emerge as one of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods.”
