I noticed the crown is different from the renderings; there's fewer concrete beams. Seems like we don't have any up-to-date accurate renderings of the tower available.

The amenity level between the offices and apartments also looks more squat than the renderings. What else to expect from the VE capital of the world

^^ Yep. We knew about the VE'd amenity level, but the crown has always been hard to tell exactly what the fk we'll be getting from the renders. I'm holding off judgement until it's done, but I don't like the sparse look with so few pillars. I'm a bit surprised with KPF on this...

I fear they may crap out on that angled wood slat looking ceiling that's inside and out of the crown as well.

I think that particular rendering has been outdated for awhile. You can tell how the second level of exposed beams differs as well. Additionally, that render has 32 residential floors, whereas the actual version only has 30 (which aligns with the elevation drawings).

I believe the render below is the closest to reality, and it makes me think that the final beams aren't structural and could possibly be included later.

A 1,025' height is a new number, we now have multiple options to go with for the official height: 1,021', 1,022', 1,025', 1,031' & 1,034'. Regardless, 1,025' makes it the tallest tower in the South until the Miami Waldorf-Astoria is built.

I was invited to this topping out event. Had I attended, I would have asked for clarification on the hieght. But it's on me for not attending and ascertaining that info.

That looks like an older render. You can tell by the orange trim on the residential section and the parking garage trim design.

Their official website shows three or four different versions of the tower, which is kinda confusing at this point.

The most accurate one I've found is on their official Facebook page. It lines up pretty well with a recent photo I took. It includes the two-level section between the office and residential parts, and the vents on the top office floor. That said, it’s not perfect. The number of concrete beams on the crown and the middle section is different, and it’s missing a few vents on the side.

1,021/2’ and 1,031’ are numbers from The ATX’s calculation of the lowest point. Initially the FAA released a height of 1,025’, I believe Community Impact is going with that or just rounding off. Later a height of 1,034’ was listed—I used those same calculations to get 1,031’.

When the 1,021’ number came to be Towers posted an article using that height—from there it spread about online.

To extinguish some confusion I’ve revised the height and going with the most recent figure that was released by the FAA, 1,034’.

That's the one I updated. The rest of the page is a bigger mess than I care to deal with - especially since someone else will come along and re-do it.

I noticed where you got 1031'. But, there is an entrance to the building about 3' lower than the lowest point you used (west side - closer to Cesar Chavez). That's where the 1034' comes into play (from that lowest entrance to highest pinnacle).

**A few feet here and there can make quite a difference in the world rankings of tallest buildings.

This has always been 1034’. I don’t understand the confusion. There are four points on the roof that all have different heights and FAA has had 1034’ the highest point forever. The lowest entrance is pretty clear on elevations.

God I hope that's true. Even if it's stupid expensive, this tower should be open to the public in some form (up top). I'd take such pride living in a building that all admire and enjoy, just sayin.
