Very hot. Currently 30.9 with a humidex of 40 and not a cloud in the sky. The low was 21.5. Yesterday was 33 with a humidex of 45 and a low of 23. Five so-called "tropical nights" in a row, should be at least two more before it cools later this week.

Is summer starting soon? We'll at least get a hit of it this week before the rain starts again on Saturday.

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday): 25, 29, 31, 31 and to start the long weekend RAIN and 23 Saturday, RAIN and 22 Sunday.

I'm off next week and will be furious if the rain and cooler temps. continue past the weekend. I've had enough—I want to sit outside and enjoy some heat!

31C with a humidex of 38 and sunny. Perfect summer day. I ended it by the pool.
27C (humidex of 34) at 11PM. Just your typical summer evening/night.

Low of 20C this morning.

The warmspot was Lytton, BC at 34.8C.

Warmest low was Downtown Montreal, QC at 22.2C.

I saw the dewpoint up to 27.2C in Harrow, ON today. That would the highest this year. This intensity and length of the humidity is almost unheard of even for SW Ontario. Last 3 days I see 25C+ dewpoints in the area.

It has been a very normal summer, which has been a welcome all July. No fires locally, no smoke, only a handful of very hot days and we've had a typical precipitation accumulation, which is the most we've had in July in over 10 years.

Its also helped with a bumper crop of cherries and stone fruits (apricots, peaches etc), took a photo of some of the Kordia variety of cherries from a local orchard we picked from yesterday.

Weather wise, we have a heat advisory, highs of 33 and sunshine today.

I briefly thought about cutting the grass earlier this morning, but then decided discretion was the better part of valour.

An 8.7 magnitude earthquake that rattled off the coast of Russia Tuesday afternoon has triggered a tsunami watch for most of British Columbia, according to officials.

30C with a humidex of 35 and mainly sunny. A tad cooler today because of more cloud cover this morning. Some clouds mixed with the sunshine until noon. Dewpoint was below 20C today as well.

Warmest low was Toronto (City Centre), ON at 23.5C. Toronto won the battle of downtowns as downtown Montreal ended 0.1 degree cooler (23.4C).

Looks like tomorrow is the last day of this heatwave, then we'll have cooler weather for three days, then back to muggy weather but not as hot.

Today's high was 31.5 with a humidex of 40. The low was 21.5. It's been nearly a full week without dropping below 21. It's currently 22.6 and very pleasant at 1:30am

Looks like it was actually 38.3 in Lytton.

I think so far this year BC, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan have hit 100F (Manitoba on the button, and BC around 103.) Not sure about Alberta.

It was mostly cloudy and humid (though cooler than in Japan) while I was in Manila.

It was a very interesting trip and the weather helped make it a memorable wedding! Don't want to crwod up the weather trhead with too many pics.

It's the Royal St. John's Regatta. North America's oldest continuous sporting event, one of the few weather-dependent holidays in Canada, and one of the few holidays determined by a non-governmental entity in the world. St. John's is shut down for the races while neighbouring municipalities are open for business with big sales (kind of the way Black Friday used to be - big purchases day, furnishings electronics, etc.).

I went down to Quidi Vidi Lake to get my fix early before the crowds. It's early this year due to our hosting the Canada Games starting August 4. Normally it's the first fine Wednesday in August.

I couldnt imagine what the humidity must feel like somewhere like Manila, looking at the weather forecast and its looking to be 32c with 71% humidity. I cant even comprehend what every day life would feel like there, especially coming from living in a semi-arid, dry heat environment.

That guy on the scooter wearing a plastic rain jacket must have been sweating bullets.
