I used to live on the 45th floor right next to Butterfly and yup, there were mosquitos and spiders at that level. Same in the current place.

It seems that the airflow around and up tall buildings catches the bugs with it, so there is no escaping them.

Interesting. I've had Edmontonians try to convince me that mosquitoes don't get much altitude, so I'd supposedly be ok in a higher level apartment. You just proved them wrong!

I mean, the difference between the number of bugs on higher floors and lower floors/ground level is night and day.

You do get bugs everywhere, sure, but they get there for one reason or another compared to "let me crawl up into your joint real quick" x 10000.

Lots of people in my building grow veggies on their 20+ level balconies. My wife does it too lol. We had a greenhouse at one point. She released lady bugs in that green house. I'm sure half escaped to other balconies. Or they get up with airflow.

Once or twice I've had random beetles smack into a window on windy days. That's it.

No new tree planted yet, infact they took out 2 planted trees two weeks ago, did not capture, came home at 3pm and saw nothing new so I turned off the camera, next morning noticed the 2 trees gone, they removed them right after I turned the camera off

Today they where doing some cleaning, I think just the area to the breezway's sightline.

How much longer until this opens and starts mass move-ins? I feel like we've been in the "finishing touches" stages for 6 months now.

46th floor tile work today, another 5 breezeway floor tile work to go, if that give us any indication of when?

With the turnover up to the 45th floor, dead trees in the breezeway would be a bad omen to potential buyers, I think that's why those trees were removed 2 weeks ago.

Super bright light features in suites are pretty distracting...

Well, on the Westbank front, over at UrbanTO, it was posted that Westbank sold its share of the King Toronto condo project to its codeveloper Allied REIT.

Some convoluted irrigation system that will get scrapped the first time it costs any money to fix.

Seems like a lot of Westbank-connected projects are dragging along very slowly lately.

Today, they are still working hard.
For me, it will be completed when the last tree is potted and the penthouse porsche RDW989 My pixs, today, April 23 I have no idea ... is delivered back to the rooftop,
that is if Ian Gillespie the president and founder of Westbank Corp. is still taking residence in one of the penthouse suite.

Today July 21, 2025 9am to 2:30pm

Next time the Snowbirds fly over, I'll have the camera ponted a little higher.

Once again I missed tree potting yesterday. After 3pm I was setting up the camera for capturing the Snowbirds,
they were planting 3 trees when I was pointing the camera skywards and never noticed.
I am now more determine than ever to capture the last potting.

This morning
