Geezus. Why do I suspect it doesn't cost the Netherlands nearly that much to redo an intersection to a much higher standard than 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 Canada?

Beyond adjustments to the curbs if required, and maybe some line painting or signage. I don't understand why they'd need any of that other stuff. Just use the existing systems, signal heads, etc. They don't need to have dedicated signal heads that point diagonally. That's ridiculous.

Andy Kaye passed on in 2017 and his son has been running the business since then. I wonder if they are downsizing as it appears that most of their auctions are virtual now so they probably don't need a building with a big auction hall.

Yes, Jason had taken over the business even before his dad passed.
ALmost all auctions are now virtual. Likely downsizing like you suggest to a somewhat smaller building. But they do need a fair sized place to store items awaiting a future sale or client pick up from wins.

Probably they could rent a ground level unit in one of Winnipeg's industrial parks, instead of having a multi story building and deal with hauling things up and down in an old freight elevator.

Andy and family were cross the street neighbors of mine years ago but I never really saw them to talk to them.

What a beautiful building. I've never noticed it before because I've probably never been down Stanley Street. We are truly lucky to have so many heritage building in Winnipeg. I hope it gets converted into a new use that will last many years to come.

Built in 1906 as a 2-story building. Expanded to 6-stories in 1911.

Theres several areas that are fenced off and grass removed along waterfront & Stephen Juba park. There's also a fence around the parking lot beside the Alexander Docks. Any one have any insight what's being installed??

It could be the installation of the Stephen Juba Park Fitness Trail.

Oooo That's cool! Would love it if they widened the path through Stephen Juba Park and had it separated one side for a bikes and one side for pedestrians. Been seeing a lot of close calls lately on that path way.

Addition on the top starting to be built up. Haven't seen a lot of movement on this one in the past couple of weeks though.
