Done. Good as ne...the old?
We don't know the reason for the work but at that cost of a full replacement (my estimate of $30 thousand, maybe a little more), must have been for something more then a few chipped steps that could have been individually renewed. Well, we will check back in a few years

My thought as well, but more like injected Tykon fill, then coloured concrete finishing to match.

Tile stairs never hold up to high traffic. Just pour concrete treads.

I think we're over-thinking this. Spray some Flex-Seal on there and it's the strongest part of the stairs.
