Perhaps, but she would have sidestepped the
broadcasted gaffe with the most rudimentary of research or local knowledge. Not only will OBW not "lose its supertall status", but the 105-storey One Yonge is not "proposed" but mere months away from topping the hell off.

really don't understand the hullabaloo over OBW. There are dozens, maybe hundreds of supertall buildings the world over. This is not groundbreaking or noteworthy, other than maybe, debatably even then, as local news. As skyscrapers go, the completion of the CN Tower was a much more significant event, imo, back when skyscrapers were far, far fewer and mainly confined to North America. Heck, at the time of its completion almost 50 years ago, FCP was the 6th tallest building in the world, surpassed only by buildings in N.Y. and Chicago.
