27C with a humidex of 33 and mainly sunny. A bit of clouds around 2PM but quickly cleared in less than an hour.

Low of 20C (humidex of 25) this morning. Finally some humidity to provide milder nights.

The warmspot was Sarnia, ON at 30.4C.

Warmest low was Montreal (YUL and Downtown), QC at 19.9C.

Couple of places in Southern Ontario with a dewpoint of 22 today. First 20C+ dewpoints of the year.

Solid day yesterday. High of 21C.

We're definitely experiencing a typical Juneuary in Vancouver. The rest of the week is looking cool and wet.

The view from the place where you work is absolutely stunning. It must be amazing to watch St. John's through that window during a rain or snowstorm. I'm endlessly jealous! I'd be willing to work for free just to enjoy that view

That's The Rooms. It's not where I work, just a common seeing for meetings, ceremonies, etc.

18C, overcast and drizzle in Moncton at 8 AM, going up to 26C this afternoon. They are warning about heavy thunderstorms later this afternoon and early evening. Very humid here too.

Moncton is an interesting place. The climate is definitely continental, but, it is close enough to the Bay of Fundy that escape to a naturally air conditioned environment is only an hours drive away,

What is the consensus from the locals regarding The Rooms?

Personally, I find it really strange looking and quite a distraction to the skyline. Just searched up some photos of the interior and it's pretty impressive! If nothing else, it's unique...

The interior is indeed impressive. The external architectural design however is a mistake.

I understand what the architect was trying to accomplish, but, it was badly executed,

It will be interesting to see what SHH has to say..........

Oh, I loathe it. It was supposed to be at sea level but was raised instead atop the ruins of our largest star fortress (Fort Townshend) in attempt to minimize the dominance of the Basilica in the skyline - to give the city a more secular face.

Inside it's fine. As an institution it's mandatory - can't imagine how the city functioned without it. But the exterior is just hideous. It's meant to resemble fishing rooms. I'd be happier with a generic glass reclad meant to represent an iceberg or some —. I don't care how shallow or generic the symbolism - the current state is just hideous.

Tourists thought it was the garage where we keep our snow removal equipment.

Lio says it has the best view in St. John's because it's the only one where you can't see the building.

If you go back through my photos, I almost always crop it out.

A nasty rainstorm is coming on the literal anniversary of a similar storm in 2013 that caused historic floods. Now circumstances are pretty different between now and 2013 but still....

Gonna be a very wet few days.

Up to 100mm of rain in Calgary and possibly up to 200mm in areas along the foothills. Not likely to get flooding since the snowpack is mostly melted already, but it's possible.

29C with a humidex of 36 and a mix of sun and clouds. Some thunderstorms in between sunny periods. My favorite kind of clouds.

Low of 22C (humidex of 29) this morning. That's what I like to see.

The warmspot was Coronach, SK at 31.6C.

Warmest low was Montreal (Downtown), QC at 21.9C. It could be the new warmest this year if it holds (questionable).
That low was achieved during one of the t-storms this evening as the morning temperature was 23C.

Thursday’s high at Vancouver Harbour was 19 C, the low was 13 C.

22C (humidex 30) in Moncton at 8 AM and sunny. It is very muggy out.

Showers and thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening.

The week ahead looks quite delightful.

The Maritimes don't really turn the corner until about June 15th, but, when summer finally arrives, it is usually glorious.

Was a nice 24C yesterday in Calgary. The forecast not so nice. 3-4 days of rain, with as much as 100mm of rain hitting Calgary. possibly up to 200mm in the mountains and foothills.

Deer Lake, NFLD!

40.2 humidex reading at 4:30PM NDT
