There was a house fire at 249 Balmoral St earlier today. Hopefully everyone is alright. I saw a lot of distressed people outside the house about 30 minutes ago.

I'd recommend deleting this. Best to scrub the internet of it.

This is interesting. A variance application for what reads like a six floor MFD and hotel project mid block on Maryland between Shorty's and the new building at the corner of Maryland and Westminster. Hopefully it takes up the empty lot as well as the boarded up houses to the south.

It's part of the 710 Westminster Phase 2 development which includes 69, 71, 73 Maryland.

Hotel? Nice. It'd be a good spot for a nice urban brand or even a hostel with a kickass bar.

I wonder if it will be similar to the staff-less/self check in hotel in Bridgewater and the one proposed for Ellice.

I've been to a couple of Sonders.

Also went to a self-serve hotel in NYC called Little Charlie's. Was super nice and very clean & well maintained. Would love to see a couple of those in the exchange or downtown.

Anyone been to the bar in the sherbrook inn? I poked my head in and it looked nice. Cleaned up. Will take some effort to shed the reputation but physically it looked nice.

wild....how do you book the rooms?...is it more like an airbnb or an actual hotel?

Everything is done through an app, it's classified as a hotel.
