Did you ever see the old three lane draw bridge?? That thing made it all the way to 2009 I believe!

The current bridge is expandable to six lanes. As a joke the ruling provincial NDP will be doing that instead of building a second crossing in the foreseeable future…

Highway infrastructure is lacking in most of BC, but the Okanagan takes the cake for neglect in investment IMO. Under the BC Liberlas some good progress was made (lots of twinning of the 97, the new bridge, and a few new interchanges) but since the NDP took power it has once again all come to a screeching halt.

All previously made plans to have a free flowing artery between Peachland and Vernon have now all been thrown out by the BC NDP and the Kelowna City government, instead replaced with an “all eggs in one basket” hodgepodge of a 97 that will change road classification every few kilometers…

It's technically not even a tent. They did erect a circus-like tent for the entrance, but the main structure is the same sort of thing Metrolinx was using down on the east end of the waterfront. It's more of a steel-framed temporary hanger.

/\ Very interesting - and looks to be a brand new YouTube account, assuming it's their videos. Wasn't there a sporting event recently that was temporarily stopped due to an overhead drone? Can't imagine the Blue Jays game one was authorized, but looks cool.

Ok, while I was looking at real estate listings, one more set from Victoria, and after that I'll spare you for a bit as next week I'm off to Toronto, so I imagine I'll be taking a ton of skyline shots there!

This building, The Pearl, like it's neighbour the Janion has a lot of units for sale now following the crack down on Air BnB units.. these were basically built to be hotel rooms, although The Pearl has larger units with better layouts.

Pretty cool how the sawtooth floorplates on those midrises enable water views for even the most recessed units.
