Thank you very much. Regina also got $35 million from the Excelerator fund for housing. Also 26 Million for Regina transit for new buses, there is also been a lot more

Doesn’t seem to be closed. I drove past there at lunch time today. I didn’t stop, but the parking lot was full and all the lights were on, including the open signs. They’ve also got a billboard (well a sign) up on Truesdale advertising.

The City is giving Costco a huge subsidy to build in Westerra/Horizons and not move to a new site outside the City limits. I would like to hear the whole story on this, but this seems like a bad precedent. A better long term strategy would be to control taxes and developments costs for all businesses.

I agree this is great for the City as there will be much complimentary development and increased tax base, but it points to fundamental issues with City's tax and development costs.

Probably to move Courtney to west of Sharp Park and connect it to Canola Ave. That way all the people that take the grid roads from 13th Ave won't have to turn left at Dewdney. The developers generally build roads on behalf of the city in new areas.

Still can't believe the huge **** up it was not having access to Dewdney from the south on the bypass. I don't think Costco second guesses that location if that access was there.

But they tried to swoop in on private land owners in the city. And now the city needed to do a sweetheart deal to match the rm.

I doubt the RM did anything. They just have lower taxes and development fees/requirements.

Since when does the City Incentives ANY private developer like that? NEVER. This is absolutely gross negligence and unprecedented on so many levels.
