Cold and wet. Buses were packed like Tokyo subway cars due to the usual shenanigans.

Couple shots from FB. I listened to the RNC and just went straight home from my bus stop, though I still had to walk within a quarter block of all his lol

April was decent here, avg high 14.3 avg low 3.3 mean 8.3. We had 11 days over 18, and five days with a low below 0. Most trees are leafed out now in the SW except the more southern varieties like hickory, oak, locust, walnut, etc

This road, lined with these stunning trees on both sides, is absolutely incredible. It takes your breath away. Could you tell me the name of the town and the street where it's located? I'd love to look it up on Google Earth :fuggire:

22C with a humidex of 24 and mainly sunny this afternoon. It progressively cleared throughout the day. Very gusty. YUL registered up to 50 km/h but I could swear some of the gusts were approaching 70 km/h.

It was actually a very decent day in between those gusts.

Low of 10C and rainy this morning.

The warmspot was Kamloops, BC at 30.4C. Like mentioned early, first 30C in the country this year.

Warmest low was Pam Rocks, BC at 12.7C.

Sunny, warm, dry. Like a taste of summer. It clouded over in the evening and we had a shower.

Friday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 23 C, the low was 10 C.

They wouldn’t dare!

A canopy like that is character defining. The entire ambience of the street would be destroyed!!!

The Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia is characterized by a string of small farming towns and villages lining Route 1 along the length of the valley. When I lived in Halifax in the 1980s, every town featured a canopy of elm trees lining their Main Street (Route 1). It was beautiful.

Then Dutch elm disease happened, and they all died in a few years. It was devastating. It was never the same.
