5C and drizzle in Moncton at noontime, supposedly going up to 10C this afternoon with rain.

Went up to 18C this evening. It was cloudy and rainy earlier and only cleared up at around 3.

Low of 2C this morning and heavy rain.

The warmspot was Nelson, BC at 24.5C

The warmest low was Osoyoos, BC at 14.5C. This would actually be the warmest low this year if it holds.

Driving back from Victoria yesterday. Hot and sunny until Valemont then started to get cooler. By the time we hit Hinton snow had started and was blanketing the area quite well. Gone by Edson and warmish in Edmonton Forecast looks great all week with proposed high for Friday of 29.

Headed for 25 Friday and 26 Saturday, should be gorgeous this coming weekend. Has anywhere in the country hit 30 yet? Medicine Hat is forecast for 31 Saturday!

From last Thursday. Took my wife’s Peruvian coworker fishing while he’s here for one year. He got a sucker and he was fascinated. If you’re ever feeling lonely all you have to do is get a hold of one of these fish and let it do what it naturally does.

Why in all my walks along waterside trails do I always see tires? I see more car tires than bike tires actually. Including two more yesterday with zero bike tires.

Beauty of a spring day in canada; 19 and all sunshine.

First taste of summer like weather tomorrow with a projected high of 25 and our first humidex of 30. Could get some severe thunderstorms later in the day.

After that, a cooler late week and weekend, with highs between 10-15 and some rainy days, but next week looks to rise back into the low 20's. Much welcome after pretty crappy first month of the year!

Shots from last weeks trip to Victoria and back. There will be others I just haven't downloaded my camera yet. And some shots of the HMCS Cornerbrook going out for recommissioning.

Tancredi, when are you going to do your coast to coast cross Canada trip!? I honestly think April would be the best time of the year for you to do it!

You would get a taste of spring in areas, and the tail end of winter in others. It would be perfect for you!

PS that last pic is Mount Robson, perhaps one of the most beautiful peaks in the Rockies.

Great to see your pics Airboy and good to see some Butchart Gardens. Your picture of the sunken gardens made me reminisce wistfully about a decade or so ago when the hill at the back had a lone arbutus tree - made for a great picture. Not sure why they didn't replace it, perhaps soil conditions but it made that shot even more iconic. The arbutus was actually on top of that hill not behind it, a bit hard to tell in the pic.

Here's a Flickr pic of it from way back in 2007:
