The North Tower is what is currently being built. The South Tower's foundation hasn't started yet. It will likely be a while before they even start the next building on the site.

Just walked by right as they were installing a corner! Their coordination was really impressive to watch.

Also I'm pleasantly surprised by the accents between the flat glass sections on the E and W sides! Like the fins on One Chicago and Wolf Point East, these will catch the light really nicely at certain angles.

Thanks!

What if after theyr'e done with this tower they decide to make the south tower even taller (like the original design IIRC).

I want to say, I think there is somewhere in this thread recently that went over those possibilities.

It's all just speculation, so who knows.

A significant change to tower two would require re-approval by the city, including the Ald.

What is going on where the 2 bay windows meet on the inside? Seems a strange place for any piping/conduit.

Each window bay is a room, with a wall in between, with utilities like this within.

Those are most likely the refrigerant lines for the HVAC units which are usually placed between rooms, close to the exterior wall so that they can most efficiently heat and cool the units. In this case I expect that they will be tucked behind the piers between bays.

Also saw it from the 31st St Beach pier today, and it looks like we'll have an unobstructed view of the side profile, so I mocked it up with the elevation diagram. Looks very much like a sailboat sail

By: Ian Achong 7:45 am on April 25, 2025

New details have been revealed for the long-anticipated DuSable Park, located at 401 N DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville. Situated on a small peninsula east of the highway, the park has been in development for years, alongside the rapidly rising 400 N Lake Shore Drive project next door. Efforts are being led by the Chicago Park District and is partially funded by the 400 LSD development

Criticism of the height? I totally get.

But seems like a stretch to call this another generic glass box
