I would love to know what the final rebuilt hotel will look like. The former one (still standing) was OK, but somehow lacked elegance. I hope the new one won't be all boxy and chunky like certain other buildings.

Agree! A much more open concept at the Atrium that allows one to view up to the 3rd floor would be nice.

My guess would be a renovation of the Nordstrom entry to have 2 entrances - one with escalators down to the main floor, and another entry with escalators directly to the 2nd floor, since the plaza level is higher than the ground floor (which is at grade on the Robson side).

New entrance to the plaza, as previously disclosed somewhere.
Not sure how the new plaza entrance relates to the elevation drop from the plaza to the main floor.
There's also a new set of doors midway along Granville, and maybe a couple of new sets of escalators inside.
Hard to figure out because no demising walls are shown.

Note that part of the 725 Granville lobby is being taken for the new retail entrance.
Strange that the old elevators and escalators are slightly shifted in the 2 plans.
