It's been another fine day in Vancouver, with a high around 12°C.

Low of 2C this morning.

The warmspot was Morden, MB at 19.9C.

Warmest low was Osoyoos, BC at 8.4C.

+1C and drizzle in Moncton at 9 AM. +2 and rain later today.

It could be worse, this same system dumped uo to 15 cm of snow in the mountains of northern New England.

Place is an absolute hub of bird activity. I had the Merlin app running and it picked up sounds from these...

Song Sparrow, Common Grackle, Blue Jay, Northern Cardinal, Great Blue Heron, American Goldfinch, Canada Goose, Black Capped Chickadee, Mute Swan, American Crow, Red-winged Blackbird, Ring-billed Gull. Also some kind of ducks that didn't make any noise haha

Quite the day. Had to work outside all day and froze my ass off in the morning even with a winter jacket on. Then by afternoon I was sweating.

14C and sunny this afternoon. Sun felt strong and awesome.

Low of 5C this morning. It was overcast (didn't clear until noon).

The warmspot was Pemberton, BC at 18.8C.

Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 7.9C.

Last day at Sun Peaks always ends with Slush Cup. The weather was perfect! Such a good vibe on the mountain. End of a great season!

This is the Burfield chair, the lowest lift at Sun Peaks. It's the longest fixed grip chair in North America. It takes about 20 mins to get to the top. Goes from zero snow, to over 2 meters at the top. The only way to get there this time of year is from the opposite Morrisey mountain.

+1C and drizzle in Moncton at 8 AM, only getting up to +4C and rain later on.

"Spring" always breaks your heart in Atlantic Canada. You need to wait for May before you get decently warm weather out here.

Wildcats defeated the hated Drakkar again yesterday afternoon. The score was 4-1. We are now up 2-0 in this second round series.

- Cats have outscored Drakkar 11-1 so far.
- They are 6-0 in the playoffs so far.
- They have now won their last 22 games in a row.
- Star Caleb Desnoyers has 13 points in six playoff games
- The Wildcats entered the playoffs #1 in the CHL. I think they deserved this ranking.

Big White would do a version of the Slush Cup as well. I did it as a kid, and slammed face-first into the water.

Every ski hill does a slush cup nowadays. Sunshine in Banff waits until May long for theirs. The village is like 7000' above sea level though, so they keep more snow for longer than other hills. They even opened on Canada Day a few years ago, though it sounds like it was kinda lame as only the small Strawberry Chair opened and lift lines were quite long.

Had a good 2 hours of snow on Saturday here, all melted by noon yesterday and expecting 16 this afternoon. All in all, this has been a fantastic April so far!

They had it at Mt. Garceau a few years back (near Mt Tremblant) and also did the same, but I wasn't a kid.

High of 20.7 today and partly cloudy. We've had quite a few days over 15, but this is the first 20+ for my weather station, as it's a little cooler here due to proximity to Lake Erie.

Right now, Lake Erie is 8 degrees at Toledo and ice at Buffalo.

Supposed to hit 20 today before a rain / snow mix tomorrow and a rollercoaster the next week or two. A good amount of moisture and things will green up fast!
