7C and sunny. Still on the cold side but improvement over yesterday.

Low of -3C (wind chill of -7) this morning.

The warmspot was Ashcroft, BC at 22.0C.

Warmest low was White Rock, BC at 9.8C.

It was overcast and rainy earlier in the day and then about mid-afternoon the skies cleared and we got some sunshine.

Thursday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 16 C, the low was 9 C.

The season has finally turned the corner. Don't get me wrong; it's still cold. But the air just feels and smells different, sun is reliably warming on the skin even with temps near freezing. There's hope in the air.

Round two of the Q League finals begins tonight. The Wildcats finished off the Quebec Remparts 4-0 and now face the Baie Comeau Drakkar. The only team in the league I hate as much as the Remparts are the Drakkar. Should be fun.

I have my Wildcats jersey, team ball cap and cow bell all ready and waiting.

Incredible! The color of the sky, the road, the brightness, the profile of the mountain in the distance do not seem to be those of a city in Newfoundland in Canada, but of a small village in the arid Far West of the United States.

On reflection, you're right. I guess it requires cold, in our case. Things normally seem wet when it's warm, ha!

It seems that the sky and the air are filled with grains of desert sand. The golden color of the sunrise in your photo resembles the dawns of cities near a desert or, as sometimes happens in Sicily, the sunrises on those days when strong atmospheric currents carry sand from the Sahara across the Mediterranean

Cats made a statement in game one against the Drakkar last night, winning 7-0.

A very festive atmosphere in the Avenir Centre, especially in the third period. 6,000 fans left the building in a very good mood.

Kyle Dubas (general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins) was in the building to have a good look at our star Caleb Desnoyers. He is now expected to go #3 in the NHL draft, and they want to nab him.

Currently +5C in Moncton and partly cloudy at 10 AM, going up to +9C this afternoon.

I always check this site https://www.usanpn.org/data/maps/spring in the spring. Too bad the data doesn't extend to Canada. I have some lilacs and honeysuckle in and around my yard, so I can compare my area to SE Michigan and it's pretty much dead on.
