Delts, I live around the corner from these, and they look like they're close to complete, I'm not sure how delayed they were. Still doing construction, but the exteriors look like the renderings. Lots of similar sized projects in that area between 4500 S and 5300 S on either side of I-15.

There are some renderings from an older article here: https://www.deseret.com/utah/2024/2/26/2...n-bonding-for-hospital-west-valley-city/ ...looks to be about 8-9 stories on the taller side. It will be great for the west side of the valley and decentralize some of what U of U Hospitals do. It will be one of the biggest buildings in WVC, and a good job generator.

MountainSkyline, I did find one rendering online of the West Main project in Midvale by Architecture Belgique. Combined with Rockies photos you can see that the street engagement up front will be a big nod to Midvale's historic commercial heritage, which is a big plus. Apparently the apartments will be attached to the back. I'm glad to see the many smaller but quality projects bringing back life to Midvale's rich historic town center past. I hope a few of the other pioneer towns in the Metro will follow the same trajectory. Magna comes to mind.

Demolition has started on our newest project. West Main is located on Historic Main Street in Midvale right down the street from our office. This mixed-use project will include 68 residential units, a rooftop deck and dog park. To engage with the public, the ground level will bring new retail, restaurant and cowork space. Would not surprise me if this was originally going to be the new hockey/NBA arena if Salt Lake didn't convince Ryan Smith to remain downtown.

The way I've heard it was the Point was the initial proposal but then Ryan bought South Town Mall and it was likely going there, but then the state moved in with the 900 mil.

Also, I am moving to Midvale soon and will likely get more pictures as projects develop there. I am heartbroken to leave downtown but I have been commuting to Utah county for work and it's just too far. I really hope to see more development on Midvale main. I think the biggest barrier now are the industrial properties that block main from the Bingham junction trax station. The city has identified this, thankfully, and it looks like they are planning for connectivity through some of these properties when the time comes.

Here is the Midvale Main small area plan the city put together, it is very interesting. In some ways it's underwhelming but it is also far better than most towns. I liked that they looked at both 7800S and 700W for long term pedestrian improvements in addition to Main

Which is on the farthest portion of Daybreak from anything central in the valley.

If the Millers can get us an MLB team and/or move Real to the Power District, I will forgive them. I am excited about what the Power District could become. I am picturing something like a more urban and vibrant version of Daybreak, on the west side of Salt Lake.
