Phase 4 nearly complete at PCI's King George Hub in Surrey

The residential towers, at 41 and 43 storeys, were fully pre-sold in 2021 and are expected to complete in the third quarter of this year.

Next up will be Tether, a 40-storey purpose-built rental tower that will add 400 rental homes to the site and is expected to complete in 2026.

That drop-off courtyard looks nice.
Here it is on a model:

looks like a BMO is opening in one of the larger retail spots. That will move from next to Surrey Central, temporarily housed in a trailer at the old save on foods parking lot.

I hope they open a burger place.

Yes I believe BMO will go into that sleek wooden-clad corner unit.

We go here a lot, a couple of times a week, we have noticed the last few times that the drug addicts have discovered it and hang out in the area a lot, shooting up etc. it was nice while it lasted. We watched some people doing whatever it was on some of the seating and two security guards just walked past, I assume they can't do anything. I really hope it doesn't get worse, Surrey Central is just awash with people shooting up, passed out, sprawled on the sidewalk, yelling. It's very colourful but also we choose to drive to Guildford walmart instead. We avoid Surrey Central for the most part.

It's not that the drug addicts have discovered it. It's more so a case of there being an insane uptick in the homeless and drug addicts in the entire Surrey core due to the erosion of low-income housing units (legacy apartments and basement suites). The area was swept clean with the homeless being transitioned into a modular housing complex between 2015-208 but the the entire core from 108th to 100th Ave has gone to hell since 2022.

I'm also a firm believe that open aired hubs do not work in this part of the world and it's always a matter of time before these spaces fall into disrepair and feel less inviting. Security personnel and the police will only respond to situations within the establishments.

I wish the King George Hub had included an enclosed shopping area.

Marble Slab opened June 20. The BMO looks completed but inside is still getting some work done.
