One American Center, once tall and proud and featured in a John Travolta movie, "Michael", now looks miniaturize.

I still love that building. And I spotted that, too, back then. I remember my mom doubted me, but Dad was lIke, he's right, that's the Ritz Theater on 6th.

It looked like the core was matching it yesterday from 35. I can’t remember how much higher 6x sits so since waterline is lower they should be at least tied? Has anyone counted the floors lately ?

~435’ for Waterline
~495’ for 6xGuad

They have a 157’ structural height difference, but a ~100’ apparent height difference (conditional on the vantage of your view) given the ~60’ elevation difference.

Anyone know when they're going to raise the crane again? I've been waiting.

This photo is fantastic in showing it. Great capture Urbannizer!

Yes, indeed! Beautiful, iconic, unique, and the tallest in the state! Even on this forum you'd have been laughed out of the room if you said something like this would be built in Austin even a decade ago. I think that was around the time that it seemed every other post was talking about a "plateau". Now "value engineered" is the new plateau. Lol.
