I've never understood why a small minority of Canadians state this nonsense. It's pretty much right out of the MAGA playbook. Christians are NOT being discriminated against in Canada.

we had a December holiday party and still seem to get days off for Christmas, Easter... can't find any muslim or jewish days off.

At the very least, I think we can say with some assurance that Christianity, compared to certain other religions, isn't exactly en vogue in contemporary Canada, especially not with progressives.

I would agree with that.

Christianity is viewed with some suspicion and contempt by mainstream and progressive Canadians (with some reason given a checkered history), but, Christianity is also responsible for beautiful institutions with spectacular architecture, the preservation of literature and education and support for the traditional arts. It is not all bad.

The bad taste some progressives have for Christianity is based mostly on the association of the religious right (fundamentalist Baptists and evangelical Catholics) with certain anti-socially progressive views that would make Jesus blush.

If only the fundamentalists would tone down their actions and rhetoric.......

Even our prominent Christian politicians tend to be cautious about exposing their faith in Canada. (Both Carney and Trudeau are Catholic and go to church at least occasionally.)

Truth is Carney and the Liberals are a much bigger threat to Canada’s sovereignty, identity and prosperity through their net zero, postnational, socialist and borderless ambitions.

Very strange. I am Christian too. I say and have received "Merry Christmas" from numerous people at work. Even Muslims wish me a Merry Christmas. Yet Muslims and Sikhs are legitimately discriminated against on a regular basis.

If you honestly think there is more discrimination against Christians, than there is with Muslims, Jews, or Sikhs, than you need to get out more.
