The U.S. Census Bureau has just released its county-by-county population estimates for 2024. Forsyth's population increased from 393,835 in 2023 to 398,143, an increase of 4,308 (1.1%). Guilford County's population grew to 558,816, an increase of 5,936 (also +1.1%). Needless to say, Mecklenburg and Wake outpaced other urban counties in the state.
