Turnout was 45%. A bit surprising that it was a tad higher than 2022 (44%).

Still extremely low in both cases though.
45.4% out of 11,065,813 eligible, registered voters. Absolutely pathetic turnout, particularly considering the Ford government's scandals (Greenbelt, Ontario Place, Ontario Science Centre, etc).

3/4 of Niagara's ridings went NDP. The other, West Niagara is a PC stronghold held by Dutch Reformed Christian, Sam Oosterhoff.
(West Niagara is the religious part of the region).

Bonnie Crombie's Liberals were so inept that 2/4 of the candidates they propped up didn't even live in Niagara. One was from Hamilton and the other Toronto.
I knew Crombie was a total dud when she was quoted as saying something to the effect of she didn't realize that running for leader of Ontario would be so difficult
It's only a province of 16.2 million people and growing.
She lost her riding but is currently refusing to step down as Ontario Liberal leader.

Well yeah, Ontario is like the 20th largest economy in the entire world.

Because he’s actually scared of having to deal with Carney. He knows mentioning Carney will only help him. (Carney)

Because Trump doesn't have a clue about Canadian political figures? He doesn't like Freeland because she's a Ukraine supporter, hates Russia, and Trump hates powerful women (scared of them really).

Ontario's in really bad place after years of indept rule by Trudeau & Co, and his BFF Dougie, so pretty much the vote reflects the pessimism and desperate helplessness of the populace. Sadly, it's only going to get worse from here, relief is not in sight.

LMAO.

The best thing about this sound bite from Trump, is it will legitimately hurt Poilievre, considering unlike the Liberals, BQ, NDP, and Greens, 41% of Conservative voters still hold Trump in a favourable light. That's literally half his base.

Ha! No, it's because she wore a undersized cocktail dress to a trade negotiation and is completely incompetent. What a disgrace the current regime is and what a disaster for this country.

Bondi, Gabbard, Noem, Leavitt? Very talented and competent.

It's time for common sense, not cackling and not disturbing grins when illegally freezing bank accounts.

I’m surprised he even knows who PP is. Does he also know the name of the leading Mexican opposition figure? British? French? I’d be surprised.

You really have gotten too far into the Kool Aid man. Very unlikely Trump even knows who Carney is.

Crombie never had a chance. No opposition leader could have won this election because of the political tailwinds. She deserves a second chance.

Musk has mentioned PP before online. Trump may be aware, or has been fed his name by some handlers.

Canadians like to consider themselves informed vs. Americans. Most Canadians couldn't name the leading opposition figures in the UK, France or Mexico. Probably don't know the names of the Australian and NZ PMs.

If someone is considered the heir apparent he might know him (or her).

Marine Le Pen for example is quite well-known outside of France due to her always seeming to be one vote away from the presidency.

Same goes for a guy like Geert Wilders in the Netherlands.

Keir Starmer was reasonably well-known internationally before he became PM.

What a fool you are. Ad hominem attacks are just so boring. Haven't you figured that out yet? Come on, let's hear your best ist and ism insults. Those are always funny, like like basically like like. No wonder you like Freeland. Two dunces in a pod.

My goodness, over 23,000 uninteresting and unintelligent posts? Go meet some friends for goodness sakes. That's really unhealthy. Ask your doctor about dupixin.

I think you're in some sort of competition with a few others simply to have the greatest number of posts, with substance being unimportant. Really, think of it! You have averaged over half a dozen posts EVERY SINGLE DAY for half of your life. It's unacceptable.

No more for me, but you have a wonderful time. You know, it is Friday. Take a break, visit a pub. Go bowling, play pool! Meet people. Nothing better than human interaction. Is there a student union at the college? They must have good deals on beer. Check out! It'll be fun! I promise!
